Paralegal and LDA Services

Legal Document Assistants (LDAs) are non-lawyer professionals authorized to prepare legal documents without an attorney’s supervision. They are a more affordable option to prepare, file, and serve legal documents. If you already know what type of documents you need, an LDA is a great choice to save time and money. LDAs graduate from an American Bar Association–approved program, purchase a bond, and register with the county.

Paralegals work under the direct supervision of an attorney and cannot charge the public directly to prepare legal documents.

Attorneys can provide legal advice, represent you in court, and advocate on your behalf.

We also have Enrolled Agents (EAs) with the IRS, as well as real estate and finance professionals on staff. They can help you understand the tax and property implications of divorce, including custodial parent designations, how these affect tax credits and refunds for minor children, and issues involving marital property, investment properties, refinancing, and equity division.

Your consultation includes one hour total with our professionals. This hour is shared—you may choose to spend it with a paralegal, LDA, Enrolled Agent, or real estate/finance professional, but the time is not concurrent with each professional. Additional time is available at $100 per hour.

What is an Enrolled Agent?
An Enrolled Agent is a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. They have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals. Their authority comes directly from the federal government based on proven expertise in tax law.
